A few blocks from Argentina's most notorious futbol stadium, la cancha de Boca Juniors, lies my new home. On the borders of San Telmo, La Boca, and Barracas, an old, worn out house was made over by a few local handymen, friends, and me. We got it into working order in two weeks time, so I could move in and rent out the other two rooms before heading too NYC for a visit. Somehow, it all worked out and it went from nasty to nice with some paint, sweat, and meat-fueled muscle.
